This comfortable villa at the foot of helderberg offers magnificent views over Somerset West and Strand up to False Bay.

The large, Spanish-style house can accommodate up to 8 people in 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms with additional guest toilet for a golf, beach, wine or gourmet holiday or be the starting and ending point of a safari trip.

Drive along the Garden Route or enjoy the fine wines of the region on the Wine Route. A list of our favorite wineries and some of their wines awaiting you in your house.

A beautiful secluded garden with pool in a quiet location invites you to relax. The living areas are noble and spacious. The kitchen is equipped with everything that brings joy to the cook.

HOME CARE SERVICE

We have a local Home Care Service who will take care of our guests. This includes a welcome at the house, the keys and a short overview of the house and all features.

If there is any problem during your stay you can always contact the Home Care Service or us. In addition there will be a handout in the house with all numbers and login details.

CONDITIONS

We need you to transfer 50% of the rental price before arrival and also a deposit in the amount of 300 €uro. Cancellation fees will be charged. Details can be read in the rental contract.

CLEANING

The fee for regular cleaning every wednesday is included. Only at the end of your stay are € 130 to be paid for the final cleaning.

SOMERSET WEST – Half an hour to Cape town

This small town with 55000 inhabitants is situated about 50 km east of Cape Town at the foot of Helderberg. Away from the hustle of the city Somerset West has got the green Winelands as well as first-rate beaches directly in front of its doors. Golf courses at world-class levels can be found in the near surrounding, like the Erinvale Golf course for example.

Somerset West can be reached in 25 minutes by car from Cape Town airport where car rentals are available´. A hire-car is recommended for your stay in South Africa.

In Somerset West you can find first class restaurants to everybody’s taste, for example Steffanies Place.

The Somerset Mall, only 4 km away from your holiday residence offers 197 stores with everything your heart desires, food, fashion, beauty and specialized stores like electrical- and photo shops as well as banks. All under one roof. The mall is even opened on Sundays and bank-holidays.

Somerset West is an ideal starting-point along the world famous Gardenroute. The Gardenroute leads from Mossel Bay to Port Elizabeth and offers breath-taking landscapes and culinary highlights.

The sea-side resort Strand with its endless, wide and fine-sandy beach is only 10 km from Somerset West.

It is worth visiting the nearby Nature Reserve Helderberg as well. This Nature Reserve gives you a wide insight into the fascinating flora of the Cape and its many wonderful walks.

Not far away (45 km ) is Cape Town. Situated in wonderful scenery you will find there are a lot of possibilities to arrange your holidays. The V&A Waterfront in Cape Town should be experienced in any case. Shops, restaurants, street artists form the sight of this pulsating area. Trips around the harbour, excursions to Robben Island and a visit of the Aquarium are offered. On the spot you can also book further excursions, diving events and safaris.

The Bo Kaap, the Botanical Garden as well as a day’s outing, walking or staying on Table Mountain is recommended when you have good weather.

On your route to the Cape of Good Hope you should follow the Chapman’s Peak Drive as you discover there some of the most virgin beaches of the Atlantic Coast, as the Noordhoek Beach and at Boulders Beach, also on your way to the Cape, you’ll find about 3000 African penguins which will be pleased to receive you.

Nearby spots are Stellenbosch, Kirstenbosch or Vergelegen vineyards which can also be visited. Or just start a day’s outing to beautiful Overberg, a stay overnight inclusive.

    Traumhafter Ausblick!
    „Tolles Haus, ich war mit meiner Familie in diesem Haus, wir hatten viel Spaß in Somerset West. Das Haus ist traumhaft, so viel Platz für 5 Personen. Es ist alles vorhanden was man braucht und ein Deutschsprachiger Hausservice ist auch vor Ort. Da wir öfters in der Kap-Region sind, war das nicht das letzte mal in der Villa Edan.“

    Wunderschönes Haus, traumhafte Lage
    „Wir haben dieses Jahr zu viert in diesem Haus Urlaub gemacht. Es ist wirklich ein Traumhaus in wundervoller Lage. Perfekt um Ausflüge zu unternehmen. Das Haus ist sehr sauber und gepflegt. Einmal in der Woche kommt eine Reinigungskraft. Im Haus fehlt es an nichts, es ist wirklich alles vorhanden. Die Küche ist ebenfalls perfekt ausgestattet. Auf der Terrasse kann man gut windgeschützt abends sitzen und das Wetter genießen. Alles in allem der perfekte Urlaub.“

    Ein schönes Haus in einer traumhaften Landschaft
    „In diesem Jahr werde ich zum 3. Mal Urlaub mit Freunden in diesem herrlichen Haus verbringen. Der großzügige, in afrikanischem Stil eingerichtete Wohnbereich ermöglicht jedem, sich auch mal in eine ruhige Ecke zurück zu ziehen, aber ich genieße ebenfalls die geselligen Abende auf der Terrasse mit Blick auf den erleuchteten Badeort Strand. Die Küche, Schlaf- und Badezimmer lassen keinen Wunsch offen und sind blitzsauber. Empfehlenswert!“

    “We enjoyed to stay at this villa a lot! The service was great! We were the first guests that came with a baby. They placed a babycot and a childseat die my daughter. Super service! The pool, house, space, neighbourhood, all was there and all were fantastic. We would really like to come back and rent this lovely house again.

    Wundervolles Haus
    „Ruhig, am Hang gelegen, mit Blick über den Pool zur False Bay lässt dieses sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtete und perfekt ausgestattete Haus keine Wünsche offen. Ein Gourmetkoch findet alle für sein Hobby notwendigen Gerätschaften, Internet und WLAN sind vorhanden, ebenso ein modernes TV. Die Schlafzimer sind afrikanisch farblich und themenmaßig ausgestattet. Sportliche Urlauber können in der Wohngegend völlig gefahrlos spazieren gehen oder joggen, um danach im Pool abzutauchen oder aber wie Papa Hemingway in den schweren Lederpolstern einsinken. Es war ein unvergesslicher Urlaub! … und, dass das südafrikanische Umfeld unendliche Ausflugsmöglichkeiten bietet, ist sicherlich bekannt.“
